Pu Mat National Park

Pu Mat National Park í located in the southwest of Nghe An Province, on the eastern side of Truong Son mountain range. The park spreads onto three districts of Nghe An; namely, Anh Son, Con Cuong, and Tuong Duong.

The highest area of the park borders with Laos to the southwest. The highest mountain (which the name of the park is derived from) is Pu Mat with altitude of 1,841m. The annual average temperature here is 23,6C with highest of 427 and lowest of 1,7*C.

There are three main groups of ethnic minorities living in buffer zones of Pu Mat National Park: Thai people, Kho Mu people, and King people. There are also some other ethnic minorities such as Tay, H’mong, O Du and Dan Lai.
