I love traveling and I really enjoy places that have some good standards. I see many people complaining, but only a few of them are willing to go online and give a constructive feedback. I also noticed that people have the tendency to provide rather negative feedback not positive ones.
When I choose my destination for my holiday I use other people’s feedback, that is why I believe it is also my duty to share my feedback. I also don’t believe in simple feedback (e.g. “That place suck” or “It was great!”), we need to say why, so if anyone is impacted by it can take some improvement measures or if you enjoined it because it was quiet (no WiFi, no cable, no electricity…) others may not find that “great”. Feedback should contain those things that are characterizing us (e.g. if you like a type of cake mention that if there you can eat a good cake like that, or if you like to ride your bike on mountains, mention that) so that the reader can read the feedback of those people that have similar preferences.
Those who are sharing their feedback (positive or negative) have a chance of shaping the world as they want to (in a good way).
At the same time visiting new places, meeting new cultures, that places history, art, food… is also reshaping us, we may like something we ate and we learn how to cook it ourselves, we saw a traditional outfit, and we get inspired for how to dress ourselves, we hear new songs that we may like, etc. As a result we not just make the “world a better place” but we also become better versions of ourselves, as new experiences pulls out the better us.
That is why I love being a local guide.
