Today, I received an incredible email from Google Maps, celebrating 10 years of Local Guides! It made me reflect on my own journey, which started back in 2016—a journey of exploring, sharing, and making a difference through Google Maps.

For 8+ years, I have been actively contributing as a Level 8 Local Guide, helping people discover places, supporting businesses, and improving local information. Along the way, I’ve trained many passionate individuals, some of whom are now Level 7, and many others at Level 6. Seeing them grow in this community is truly rewarding!

One of my biggest achievements is verifying 50+ businesses on Google, enabling them to thrive in the digital world. Coming from Peshawar, this is a proud moment for me—helping local businesses gain visibility and reach more customers.

Google Maps is more than just a tool; it’s a community-driven platform that empowers people worldwide. From real-time traffic updates to accessibility information, every contribution matters. And I’m honored to be part of this global movement!

Here’s to many more years of mapping, exploring, and making a difference!
