Hello Everyone!
Its been a long ago since I started contributing to Google Maps. It was then in my childhood when I was facing difficulties in finding the exam center which I was allocated for my examination, which made me to physically go such a long way and find out the details and ways to reach there which consumed a long time. But now, with the efforts of Google and continuously updating places in real time by the local guides, finding and navigating has become very easier and time saving as well. This has increased productivity too. My major contributions are in the areas of photos, reviews and check facts categories. Some of the other contributions also include the translation using the crowd source app powered by Google. In this journey, I have seen a vast usage of Google maps in recent times. Apart from simply adding places and its details, It gives me an immense satisfaction as I feel I am helping to some one or the other by the way of providing the information which I have gathered in the mean while through my visits. With the Google AI coming soon to India, it would open space for much more convenience and ease in navigation too.
In the upcoming Google Local Guides Connect Live 2019 event, I would like to know the other various ways which I can contribute to help Maps work better and useful to everyone. In the present situations, prevailing in India with a massive increase of Smartphones I feel there is a need to boost up the current technologies to the next level in order to serve better by providing a quality information to the users. I hope Google would understand my interest in this field and hope for a positive selection in the Connect Live 2019 event.
