Proud of helping people WITH MY OWN PHOTOS──Adding photos and writing reviews

The most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide: Adding photos and writing reviews

Being part of Local Guides makes it easier to share the beauty of Taiwan with the world. Yes, I’m from Taiwan. I consider myself a travelholic, and I always strive to find time to see the world, get to know the world where I live, and taste the fullness of life.

I’ve grown fond of photographing since childhood. My father sent me the very first camera as a gift when I got into college. Now, I’m an amateur photographer. Wherever I go, I bring the camera with me and navigate with Google Maps. With the help of Google Maps, there’s no place that I can never get to.

By far, the most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide is adding photos and writing reviews. Not only because of doing it for the love of helping others but also I can share my experiences during the journey and the pictures I took in Taiwan with the world. I am surprised to see thousands of people viewing my photos which is an inspiration and a motivation for me to keep posting more photos. I derive much benefit from writing reviews which makes me dig deeper into the places I visit and learn about cultures.

Also, thank Google for giving me such an opportunity to meet Local Guides around the world and the amazing people of Google in the Connect Live 2020 at California. I’m looking forward to sharing our cultures and learning from one another to make this world a better place in the following future.

I’m going to briefly introduce to you remarkable spots in Taiwan, and here are some photos I took before. These places might make you want to pack your bag and go.

1.Kaohsiung , Taiwan

Over the last three centuries, Kaohsiung has grown from a humble trading village into Taiwan’s busiest harbor. The tallest tower in the picture is the main landmark of Kaohsiung. It represents the rise and fall of this harbor city. I’ve spent my college time for four years here, and I’m falling in love with the city.

2.The Annual Lantern Festival , Taiwan

The Lantern Festival is celebrated annually on the 15th day of the first lunar month to mark the grand finale of the Chinese New Year celebrations. People usually celebrate this festival by enjoying family dinner together, eating Yuanxiao (glutinous rice dumpling), and carrying paper lanterns. My friend and I celebrated the festival at Love River in Kaohsiung this year. This photo shows people enjoyed the spirit of the festival.

3.Taipei 101 , Taiwan

Taipei 101, the most iconic architecture in Taiwan, was officially classified as the world’s tallest from 2004 to 2010. Thousands of tourists flock here and eager to glimpse a bird’s eye view of the city on the observation floor. I’m proud of we have such a building, and it let the world see Taiwan at its best.

  1. QinGjing Farm , Taiwan

It was really great to be away from the city and chaos sometimes. So my family and I decided to spend three days on the mountain during this new year’s holidays. There was a farm called Qing Ging farm which was closed to the hostel we stayed in. We spent a day there, and there were many activities provided to join. So don’t worry about being bored. Here is a photo that I took when I visited the farm.

Hope you all enjoy it! Stay healthy and see you in the Connect Live 2020 at California.
