Hi .fellow members today is a bad day for me …I was Local guide with Level -8 and today nearly 3000 points reduced from my profile…I don’t know what or where it went wrong…really feeling very bad and upset …
Hi @Mithunraj , welcome to Connect.
Probably Google is just starting to notice the long series of Copied and AI generate reviews, and starts to reduce the points accordingly, as 39 of them were already made private, and more and more should be deleted ASAP.
A review is for sharing your experience about a place, not cor copying a description of a Company from the web and paste in there.
My tip for you is to delete everything and to restart sharing your experience at the location. Telling us that “Calicut International Airport, also known as Karipur Airport, is located in Karipur in the Malappuram district of Kerala, India” is something that we already know, don’t you agree. Aren’t the reviews in Google maps? Well, really this text is [from the website of the airport](Calicut International Airport - IndiaAirport.com)
The same is for most of your reviews.
Honestly, I believe you should think about what a Local guide is
Mr Ernes,
I depends on AI tool to generate review…it is a fact…but this is because my English is not good…okey I may concentrate on photos videos and places roads etc…thanks for your quick reply…
No, @Mithunraj
A review is a genuine experience of a place, and Google Maps do not accept AI generated reviews.
The users in Google Maps trust the experience of users like them.
A review is not a description of the place, is the honest description of our own experience in the location.
Isn’t it, @DeniGu ?
Yes I understand… but think this way…I visited a place , then I am giving AI tool the required inputs…so that AI can generate a review which will be far better than what I may right…(I know that I need not to write poetry but still is it bad to depend on AI…)
Hi @Mithunraj
Please know that it is perfectly okay to write reviews in your local language.
Please see my post called 4 Tips on writing better reviews. It will help you understand that sharing general remarks in Wikipedia style is not allowed and also not helpful.
Best of luck
Morten
I wholeheartedly agree with what @ErmesT has mentioned here. as someone who has written over 1,800 reviews your reviews @Mithunraj definitely sound like they are A1 generated or copied and pasted from from a handbook. Be prepared to have more reviews removed. Both ErmesT and @MortenCopenhagen have given you quality links to help you.
I already accepted that I used AI tools for generate some of reviews…but still it is usefull for others I think( not for locals) and if AI can help some non English speaker to make better and quality reviews the way Google needs, is it really bad?..surely I will follow the tips given by those two persons …and if Google finds my contributions against their policy it is up to them …then I will concentrate on other type of contributions like, photos, videos, places etc …from yesterday onwards I am trying Google AI Bard also…thanks Mr. for your reply.
Hi @Mithunraj
I just read 15 if your reviews. I think being active on Wikipedia or getting a job to write promotional texts would be a better fit for you.
Only two of your reviews had any reference to your own experiences.
If you like we could work together on writing a few new reviews and or editing some if your existing reviews to make them compliant with the guidelines.
All the best
Morten
Please advise me…
Yes Mr, Please advise me…give me tips to write reviews above 200 characters,…when it was not possible for me I took help from AI…
