Since a few months ago my account cover picture doesn’t load anymore in my contribution tab on Maps mobile App. It’s showing just a solid blue color only, Firstly I thought it’s a temporary issue but that’s not like that, It’s still unsolved.
In the meantime, Please note that I have already cleared application data for twice to fix it, but it couldn’t work. Even another significant thing is, I asked some of my friends to know about this issue, they are also facing the same issue such as mine. That means It’s not only my profile’s issue.
So that I seeking help to you, Dear @Petra_M Please, look into this matter.
@SayeedP Yes, Thank You. I see the Blue. I don’t know what a Blue color means. Are there other colors? If so, I wonder what they mean? Thank You for your reply.
I think the blue background color is the standard now. A few months ago I wrote a post to complain that the black text on dark blue background is very hard to see. Also when the new design comes around this is expected to be solved. The new design was visible for a couple of days q or two months back. Hope thus helps. Cheers.
I couldn’t help noticing on your posted picture that you have almost excately the the same number of review likes as you have reviews. Are you liking your own reviews? Wink wink
Thanks for your reply dear brother, That’s mean it’s showing to all of the user! Really, It’s looking too embarrassing. They should take step about that.
And do you have noticed? I didn’t find the cover photo changing option in google account settings page, Is it removed officially?
Woa! Huh, I have never give a like my own reviews yet, even It’s not for single time. Actually that’s another issue of my profile, I need solutions too
@SayeedP I think everything is alright. It was nice of @MortenCopenhagen to give us a clear answer. I have to remind myself that my main goal is to provide correct information in my reviews and pictures and to keep checking on the rules as things change. I’m not smart enough to take on more. I get very confused. People like Morten, other Local Guides, and Google Moderators have been very helpful. They make Google Maps fun. The next couple years are going to be very interesting as new technologies make major changes. Have a nice weekend.
Happy to help. It is correct that we can no longer change the background picture. I think it ended as Google plus was terminated. Also if you want to change the round profile picture it self you need to know that it is your Google account photo. But you can reach it from Google Maps via Settings and Your profile and Edit profile and Edit name and photo.
I am understanding your problem Sayeed. You are asking that background of profile photo is showing completely blue. It is because google+ is officially taken down by Google due to low amount of users are using Google+. Previous In Google + we can easily set background image but it is no more available.
It’s is showing blue background in all users of google maps.
