Profile Badges and Photo Views

Badges and photo views on my profile are not current.

Received an email indicating a new badge was earned, however it doesn’t appear on my profile.

Hi @RaymonCruise , and welcome to Connect
The Master Fact Finder badge is given when in your contributions you reach 100 edits and 1000 answers. In your profile, under the badge, there is the indication about how many edits and answers are credited on your account

The figures are in line with what we can see on your list of contributions

As you can see you need some more answer.
However you have an email about having the badge. This means that something happened recently: more than 150 answers were deleted.
The only ones who can delete our answers are us, but this can happen even without being aware of doing so, for example by deleting our Web and App Activity. Unfortunately there is no way to restore deleted answers, but first of all you need to understand how you deleted them, so as not to repeat the mistake.
For this reason I suggest you to read: New in Google Maps: A Better Way to Manage our Answers

Thanks for your prompt reply. I believe the counts are not consistent or up to date. This is a snapshot of the email I received.

Looking at my photography stats under badges:

Now look at my stats under photos:

Stats about photos are different from stats about answers, @RaymonCruise

You post great photos, with a good quality, but as you can see from the screenshot here below, only 973 photos are counted, and only 950 are visible publicly
the other 100 are probably photos about removed locations, and will not be counted for your points and badges

Photos like the ones here below, just to be clear

In addition some of your photo is duplicate or very similar, others are just screenshots taken from the web or an App. All of them will probably be removed by Google for violation of the policies, so my suggestion is to remove them quickly to avoid any issue in your account.
Same for photos like this one, posted twice (before and after an edit)

Others are showing the faces of the people, and this in your country is a violation of the privacy, or will be a violation when the American Privacy Rights Act will be approved.
Google always suggest not to post visible faces.
If you need help in finding what’s not permitted please let me know

Apparently you have access to information that I have never seen before. Is it possible for me to have access to that information? Where can I find it? Does Google Maps notify Local Guides when a post violates the rules? As a suggestion, when a photo is deleted why not decrement the Photos total to reflect the actual credit applied toward Badges.

Hi, @RaymonCruise , I only have access to your public profile (to what everyone else can see)
Open this link in incognito mode on a browser (not in the App) to see your public profile.
In there you will be able to see the what is publicly posted.
For more details you can do the same on desktop, where you can access also the list of contributions used for your points. In there (I shared the screenshot on my previous reply) you will see the total of photos , answers, reviews, and more, credited for points and badges.
Photos that appear uploaded to an unknown location are not giving points, and should be removed.
In several locations the photos are posted twice. In this case you are receiving the points twice, but with this is a violation of the policies and can end in a ban.

Please do a check

You are able to view before edit, after edit and deleted photos that I am unable to see. I can only see the remaining after edit posted photos.

Hello @RaymonCruise,

I have removed the solution from your reply as only topics that have absolute answers should have accepted solutions. Please read this article for more information on the topic: How do I mark replies as solutions?
