Problems with a google maps Review

Hello there,

I have a problem with a shop owner in Hamburg. I had a bad experience there 7 (in words seven !!!) years ago and rated his restaurant with one star, without any text as a review.

In Summer this year the review and removalteam from google informed me that he has ordered a lawyer and asked me for a comment from my side.
Id answered and also made a large review that I wanted to edit to this 1-Star rate. But instead I am now blocked on reviewing this special Retaurant.
No edit possible due to “violoations against google rules”:

I have now tried to get in touch with plenty “support-offers” from google but no one understands the problem or is able to solve this.
I now hang in a loop, impossible to get this matter cleared.

Does anybody know a real goolge support that can solve and is able to “listen” and get things clear?

I am a quite successful reviewer and local guide here in hamburg and I would really like to keep my reputation proper and not marked as a liar.
According to last “google-support” there is no penalty against me. So not sure if it is a technical issue, some dumb other thing or kind of a blacklist.

And NO ther is no “violation against goolge rules” in my wordings / text. I cannot even edit or post a “good” 5-Star review - with or without text.

Any help is appriciated.

Yours,
Markus / Gandalph

@Gandalph You have my sympathies. I had a similar situation with a caravan club review I made on the club’s website about an appalling woman owner.

She gave the website so much grief that they took the review down, even though many other members backed up my review with their own comments about the woman’s behaviour.

The website gave me the same treatment you are receiving from Google Maps. The solution was to create lots of different entities on the website and have all of my phantom people write bad reviews. All of these were backed up by people who had suffered the owner’s bad behaviour. The woman and the club got the message. The site released my original review and the woman left the club.

I’m not sure that solution will work for you. Maybe you could tell us all the name of the restaurant and we will all give it a bad review. Sorted! :sunglasses:
