Hello!
I have a problem with the photos I added earlier. I uploaded photos and videos to a specific place, but someone renamed this place, because of this, the materials are not tied to new place. I tried to rename this place several times, but unsuccessfully. What should I do to make my photos tied to a new place?

Hi @baron

If you are unable to rename the place itself, maybe you can try to delete your already uploaded photos from Maps.

Then, you reupload you original photos again, this time linked to the new name place.

At least the photo now linked to the right place, even if the name is already change.

If the photo are now tied to an unknown place, it means that the POI has been closed. Just renaming a place will not take your photos away. I can tell you for sure, because it happened to me too. This is unfortunately an unfair practice of some LG. For this very reason I wrote an idea, for being prompted for fact checking is someone wants to close a place where I have contributed: Pop-Up for “fact checking” if you contributed to a place with photos / review

In this way we can accept or deny the edit

Thanks for your feedback and explanation, I am totally agree with you and already supported your idea. :grin:

As for my suggestion above, is just a temporary solution if we still want to link our previous photo to the “new” POI.

I have the same problem @baron

When i add a POI with photos, the POI was Not Applied but photos still showing like your’s one Unkown place.

It was an entertainment center with bowling, children’s playground, cinema, billiards, cafes and others, and now it was renamed into a purely cinema (only the name in Googles).
Some photos will no longer fit this place.

@baron I had similar issues in early 2017 and I did exactly what @emuniruzaman just suggested to you. I deleted all the photos I posted initially and reupload them to the right address. All the best
