Prnjavor is a small municipality located in north part of Bosnia and Hercegovina. Banja Luka-Doboj highway passes through the municipality, and the international Belgrade-Zagreb highway is 60 km away from Prnjavor. Banja Luka international airport is 30 km from Prnjavor. The whole year, Prnjavor offers various outdoor activities (cycling, hiking, swimming) as well as sports, music and gastronomic contents (won Guinness record in making the fish stew in „kotlic“ metal dish). If you want to enjoy the nature, the recommendations are: the mountains of Ljubic and Motajica, the river Ukrina, the Lipizzaner paddock in Vučijak settlement. The spa Kulaši, is also one of the touristic potentials. There is a sports and recreational centre with football, judo and tennis courts, as well as a running track, placed 2 km away from the town centre. During the year there are fishing competitions at the Drenova Lake and the international competitions in martial arts.
The gastronomic offer varies from the fast food and pizza bars Pizza bar Cvijet i Square to the very famous restaurants Lovački dom, Oaza and Beograd. Local bars and clubs, offer a great selection of beers and wines, including a live music: Pet lampi, Roma cafe, Industry and Aquarius.
At the time of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and due to numerous national minorities (about 20) Prnjavor was called “Little Europe”.
