This post answers, different questions regarding Receiving & Replying ‘Private Messages’, in our LG Connect.

What is a Private Message?
As you are aware, in LG Connect, to secure the privacy of the members, personal data (like mobile Number, Mail ID, etc.) are not allowed to be shared. However, if you want to communicate with a particular LG, we can use the “Private Messaging” service. Through private Messaging, you can send your Mobile Number, Mail ID, FB, Twitter or Instagram, etc. to your friend LGs.
Where to check the received Private Message? (ie. Where is the “Inbox” of Private Messages?)
From the LG Connect Home Page, click on your Profile Photo (the round picture, on the right top). A Menu opens up; there are 3 Notifications:
- Message Notification (Bell symbol)
- Next is Private Messages (envelop symbol)
- Your Published Posts (Notification symbol)
If there is any Private Message for you, the number will be displayed on the Envelop symbol. Click on it to open the ‘Private Message Notification’ screen. The unread messages will have a dark strip on the left side.
Carefully touch on the Tittle (Re:); the message will open up in read mode.
To Reply:
Click the “Reply” button on the bottom & the reply window will open up. Type your message (after changing the message subject, if needed) & press the “Send Message” button to post the message (This part is same as Sending Private Message – please see the LINK down).
