Hi local guides :o)

I’m Giulia and I’m here for an advice. I’d like to change my full name to a short nickname for my reviews and pictures. Does anybody know how to do that?

I tried to check my privacy settings but I couldn’t change but my entire Google name.

You have to change your Google profile, that is related to all Google products. You can do it on: https://aboutme.google.com/, clicking on the pencil near your profile.

Hi @Jellyfish just follow the given advice you will be able to change. It is a good thing to use your real names here as it is important for us to know each other unless you not here for that. If you looking for some privacy then I agree with you to change and use nickname. Thanks.

thank you for your advice. Anyway I would like to change my name just for local guides and use the nickname. I tried but it seems not to be possible.

Thank you for reaching out.

As @Rezgar mentioned, you have to change your Google account name and here is a helpful article, Change your Google Account name & other info, about any changes that you might want to make in your Google account.

Please pay attention to the advice given by @Raphael-Mahumane regarding the importance of using our real names around Google.

P.S.: You can tag Connect members in your posts by writing @ before their name. This way they receive a notification and know that you are trying to communicate with them directly.

Hi Rapahel,

I totally agree with you. My concerness was just regarding the privacy. Anyway I understand that I’m not able to do that unless modifying my entire name in all my google apps.
