Sealand location: Principality of Sealand

Sealand is a self-proclaimed micronation claiming sovereignty over HM Fort Roughs, a former World War II Maunsell Sea Fort located in the North Sea, approximately 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) off the coast of Suffolk, England.

Sealand is not recognized as a sovereign state by any other country. However, it claims its own government, constitution, flag, currency, and national anthem. Sealand has also issued its own passports and postage stamps.

Sealand has its own national football team, which has played in several unofficial international matches.

The platform was once used as the set for a BBC reality TV show called “The Colony.”

Sealand has its own motto, “E Mare Libertas,” which means “From the Sea, Freedom.”

Honestly, I had never heard about it @WilliamHutton . Apparently it’s even too small to show up on the satellite image on Google Maps. What is your connection to it? Have you ever been there?

Ist ja interessant, nur wäre es schön zu sehen wo Seeland liegt mit Eingabe eines Standortes.

@Annaelisa Ich habe vorgeschlagen, einen Ort auf Google Maps zu erstellen, um Seeland hinzuzufĂĽgen, aber dieser wurde nicht angenommen, was frustrierend ist, daher weiĂź ich nicht, was ich jetzt tun soll

@JanVanHaver I haven’t ever been to Sealand myself but it’s quite famous for once being a pirate radio station after being used in WW2 before being established as a micronation. You can read more about it at https://sealandgov.org/

Es ist sehr vorteilhaft wenn man unten seinen Standort eingibt. In diesem Fall wird auch eine Karte angezeigt damit man weiĂź wo der Schreiber sich befindet

Ich habe mich bei Wikipedia schlau gemacht über Seeland. Zuvor habe ich noch nie etwas davon gehört. Ehrlich gesagt finde ich diese Geschichte mit der Plattform im Meer einfach nur seltsam.
