Every single lens is split into two types. zoom lenses and prime lenses. No matter if you are using a wide angle, standard or telephoto lens, they either have a fixed focal length or they don’t. A prime lens is one with a fixed focal length, such as the infamous Canon EF 50 mm f/1.4 lens. A zoom lens has a variety of different focal lengths, such as the Canon EF 70-200 mm. having the flexibility of zoom can be very helpful and feels a lot safer, but it also has many disadvantages:
The 50mm ‘nifty fifty’ lens gives the most flexibility to your photography and is probably the easiest focal length to frame well. I am using this lens since so long. and trust me as a local guide I am loving the Canon 50mm lens. it is the best lens I have ever since used. Many professionals would choose one of the 50mm lenses if it was the only lens they could carry.it is the best travel partner. The 50mm prime lenses are probably the most useful and complete all-around lenses you could buy.it is the most lightweight lens. Before the advent of zooms, most cameras were fitted with 50mm lenses. for a beginner it’s a very useful lens. it cost me like nothing comprising to my camera gear and result, woohoo it’s damn awesome comparing to my other expensive lenses. its most useful feature is that it is having 1.8f which helps to make the blurring background. as a local guide, it’s not much useful but when it comes to wide aperture it is having so that you can capture every single detail of the frame.
Images here are just for examples. I have captured to show the sharpnes and depth of feild in the term of Photography. I will share soon outdoor photography and architechtural photography captured with 50mm lens.
