preventing of spoiling edits

Hi all, I’d like to report a weird phenomenon

email notification:

I edited a phone number, but it was obviously spoiled (by whom?) in the approval process. How can this be? In my eyes it is an abuse of the system and the system tolerates it…

Please follow the known steps and edit the phone number for the correct one.

As explained I didn’t succeed with my edit “following the known steps”.

From my point of view and with my experience as a LG I regard this phenomenon as a general problem, and so as an idea for improving the system.
