Hello everyone.
My account got banned in April 2022 for “Your account was banned from publishing reviews due to a violation of our policies. Furthermore, all of your other reviews have also been removed.”
This was wrong and the ban was lifted in a couple of months, after an appeal.
However after the ban was lifted, all my pre-ban reviews are not showing, unless I use the same account that left them. So they’re only visible to me, but not publicly. Every review that I left after the ban was lifted, is publicly visible. I’ve just recently noticed this and today I spoke to a Google representative, who advised me to write here instead.
I’ve already (today) completed the form “**Account investigation for contributions not visible on Google Maps”.
Is there anything else I can do?

If you already filled the form shared in This post now you only have to wait. Everything that is not against the rules will be released, even if it may take several weeks.

Unfortunate to hear you encounter similar situation as I and many others recently did. Although Google Maps have acknowledged the incorrect banning by algorithm issues, the methods they implemented (the forms) to rectify the situation is far from perfect. Depending on the undisclosed, incorrect reason(s) they banned your account, it could take more than one attempt to right the wrong for you. For me, it took me from October last year to April this year with more than 20 attempts to finally get all my contributions reinstated, during which at one point they even replied that I had been permanently banned from local guide program. Good luck and hopefully you only need one try.
I was similarly banned last year around a similar time, and it took ages to get it lifted.
I’ve also had all my recent (>200) reviews not going public, alongside pre-ban reviews also not published, and have been waiting several months after completing the form several times.
Hopefully a resolve happens soon - it is demotivating when my (free) contributions to Local Guides are no longer even being recognised
