In this very Hi-Tech and Amazingly world we live in there’s nothing like the power of a picture. You can read a menu from top to bottom, you can be told all the details about any and everything, but there’s nothing like the power of a picture to give you that visual satisfaction needed to make a educated decision. As a Google Guide, I love posting pictures of food, restaurants, places of businesses, and especially new and upcoming places. There’s nothing more exciting than taking the perfect pictures to display the details and the actual look up something that people are interested in. A new restaurant is opening and I’ll be the one to go up to that construction site and take pictures and give people a sneak peek of what’s coming. Often I pull my camera out to post a picture to Google and I get the questions like; how much are they paying you? What’s in it for you? And I simply reply the satisfaction of helping people and being a part have a great team of Google guides that spans across the world. I know we don’t get paid and I don’t feel the need to get paid for this, but if I did I would travel the world and take pictures of the hardest places to access just to be an great assistant to Google users.
