Pretty sure this has been discussed a few times, but couldn’t locate thread. So i will give a good example. I am not sure how to post a link, so look up Seal Beach, Ca, you will find two main places… seal beach, and seal beach municipal pier. If you go to either place you will see many photos, but no place anywhere to upload photos.
I forgot if there is a secret way to upload to this spot, or uf this is simply an accumulation of photos posted around the seal beach area??
Any ideas, or conclusions. I jyst went there and have 4 photos i wanted to post specific to Seal Beach only. Many thx!

You’re right—some locations don’t have a direct “Add Photo” option. Here’s what you can try:
Upload via Nearby Business or Landmark – If “Seal Beach” itself doesn’t allow uploads, try adding photos to nearby businesses or points of interest.
Check Google Maps App – Sometimes, uploading is possible via the Google Maps mobile app rather than desktop.
Post a Review – If Seal Beach has reviews enabled, adding a review lets you attach photos.
Contribute via “Add a Missing Place” – If Seal Beach lacks a specific listing, you might be able to add one and upload photos there.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for that Mehed.. i was not sure why they dont have an add photo option especially when lots of photos are posted under that beach.
Correct @StevenBerlin!
We cannot post photos to “geographical features” such as cities, rivers, streets and others. But Google selects some (many?) of our photos without our knowledge and displays them there.
Just open one of those places in your area and click on the “By Me” tab, same for your city, county, state and even Nation. You will be surprised, how many of your own photos, you will find there.
For example, I searched “Germany”, select “By Me” and could scroll down forever:
