Hi everyone! My name is Grace and this is my first post on Local Guides Connect answering the question “What you love sharing most on Google Maps and why?”
Joining to the Local Guide, the most thing I really love and do it most often is sharing my photos! Yes! Like someone’s said “One picture tells million words” but the reason why did I share many many photos to Google Maps was not only following the quote.
I love photography. I mean, I am addicted to taking a picture. I used to have a DSLR camera but it’s broken. After that, I took all photos by my phone. Everywhere I went to and every time I saw perfect things worth to take a picture.
Until one day, the storage space in my phone was not enough. I asked myself, where should I keep all my photos? That everyone could also see them? Suddenly, everything came like Booom!!! Why didn’t I realize I still have my Google Maps account?
Actually before my camera has broken, I already registered Google Maps but didn’t do anything about it(just searching directions I wanted to go) But when it’s gone and I found out the way that’s good for both of me and others, I started to post something in Google Maps …yes! I posted some photos! And before I clicked “Publish” Google asked me “Don’t you say something about you photos” then I wrote short descriptions to explain them. I posted more and more(and didn’t forget descriptions and reviews) I have got more score, I felt that’s fun! Like I was playing game to find places, share to others and collected score.
Until now, I still have fun to post my photos and review the place to tell everyone who wants some information or see the atmosphere of the place before visiting. I can do photograph not afraid out of storage space and my photos will be helpful to others! I love Google Maps! Thanks for creating wonderful thing protect us from getting lost!
