Posting Issues Frustration

My first time using local guides connect started off very good. I earned a couple of badges, got a few likes, and was feeling very confident afterwards. I worked hard on my story, and put a lot of myself into it. I was very proud of the outcome.
Moments later I go to check my story to edit it because I realized I made a couple of mistakes, just to see my post had been spammed. This left me feeling confused and a little defeated. Being that this is my first time using local guides connect, I found it very hard as to what was my next step as to how to correct this issue. I eventually found out about moderators, and they are the go to people when you have issues. I have reached out to several, and still my posts remain spammed.
I’m not sure if I will use this again. It’s very draining to put your time, effort, and energy into something just to have it not seen by the other people. I enjoy being a local guide very much, but I don’t think local guide connect is for me.

My 1st time writing a post on local guides connect, and it gets spammed. I didn’t think I wrote anything wrong. Could someone please help.

Hi @Aliggins28

I just released (and merged) your post from spam quarantine. Our filter is working to protect the community and you from unwanted content, but sometimes it can be triggered by something and remove a legitimate post.

Moderators are patrolling the quarantine to release the good post so, if your post has been rejected, don’t post it again. Simply tag a moderator (check here and here).

For more information you can read: Why was my Connect post marked as spam?

You are not alone. I have had two posts spamed too for no reason, just because I edited my posts few minutes after posting it.

First i thought it was maybe something I did wrong. But after going through my edits, I realize this is a relatively new medium and it takes some getting used to.

I believe the posts are just spammed by bots or robots or artificial intelligence and not by humans.

You should not edit your posts after making it, because thats the only reason I think it gets spammed by the AI bots.

However, if your posts had been spammed, dont worry, just copy the post and post again as new, but dont edit after posting. Because thats where the problem comes.

So write your post, try and make corrections before posting, and after posting, please don’t edit. Just leave it that way or make a new post, to stay safe from these robots.

@Aliggins28 Thanks for reaching out to the community.

I know it was too frustrating for me also when my post was spammed unintentionally by filter on connect.

I just want to share my experience with you that if you edit your shared post so frequently than the filter that is running all the time mark your post as spam.

So Don’t get frustrated wait for a while,

moderators are already patrolling post they will merge it and it will be public soon.

I did notice that! It went through fine at 1st. It was when I edited that it got spammed! Thank you, glad I wasn’t alone.

Thank you so much! I’m feeling a lot better this morning with everyone reaching out! I truly appreciate it. I was so excited about what I shared, and I’m like wait a minute, now nobody is going to see it? :person_facepalming:t4:‍ :female_sign: :weary: :joy:

The filter is very sensitive @Aliggins28 , sorry about that.

BTW, the moderators are releasing the good post.
