I recently submitted a new business to maps that wasn’t on there yet but I never saw that I got points for it does anyone know why? How I find out why?

Thanks for asking. I saw the big Zero for added places on your profile. Can you find the place on your contribution list of edits. What is the status mentioned there? Pending or Approved?

You might also be able to find the email you got after adding the place.

When was it added? If resently you may need to wait for the data to get updated.

Or you might have been unlucky that some one else got the place added at the same time but slightly before you.

You could also share the link to place so we can take a look for you.

You must have got an email confirming the success in adding a new place.

If that doesn’t reflect on your trailblazer badge even after a fortnight, you can include a screenshot here (after hiding your email ID) and raise the query here once again.

Thanks for letting us know the status is pending. That means your addition has not been approved (yet) and this explains why your number of added places is still zero.

Please read Why is my edit status “Pending” or “Not Applied”? if you haven’t already done so.

You may also find How to make sense of Google’s responses to your edits interesting since Approved, Not applied, and Pending are explained in more detail.

Also, it would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.

Mostly because it’s pending … sometimes it can take really long time stated as " pending " … not sure why …

Pending can take a long time because it might be getting verified or the edit might have dropped into “Check the facts” and is awaiting another Local Guide to confirm it.

Please have in mind that you will receive your points only after the suggested edit gets approved. Moreover, points and levels can take up to 24 hours to update. In this article you will find all the available information on that matter. Hope this was helpful!
