Once again, we fell in love with this beautiful city. We had a very full schedule on a daily basis - including day trips to Yosemite and The Silicon Valley.
This time, we stayed at an AirBnB place just opposite the Golden Gate Park with walking distance to the de Young Museum and The California Academy of Sciences. It’s also very close to the new Chinatown - Clement St.
Last visit, we rented a car. This time, we used MUNI (bus), plus Uber and Lyft. We also used BART. We even rented two bikes for a ride on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Last visit, I travelled with a Canon 5D3 with a 24-105 F4 L lens. This time I brought my new Sony A7R5 with 24-70 F2.8 GM2. It’s much lighter and we had to buy some fast and large capacity SD cards as well as batteries from Amazon.
There are no major changes to the city. There are new developments like the Salesforce Park which we thoroughly enjoyed. You can see quite a few commercial premises with “for lease” signs as the result of both COVID and homeless people in the downtown area.
I also visited the vibrant Castro and Mission districts. Other tourism hotspots we visited are Twin Peaks, Legion of Honor, SFMOMA, Sausalito, Haight-Ashbury, SF City Hall, Chase Center and Oracle Park, Lover’s Lane, The Japan Town, Painted Ladies, Lyon’s Steps etc.
Just to share some of the photos here. I will start another post for our Silicon Valley Trip. Watch this space.
@Annaelisa I know, certain places just left such an impression to you and you can feel the connection deeply in your mind. Because of Facebook, I was fed with SF travel and photo posts ALL THE TIME. The memories stay so vivid! It was just like yesterday.
