I have just tried to start a post in order to fix an issue but it has been rejected. Could anyone please explain why??
Your comment / post was most likely merged to another forum.
There is a known issue with google maps and they are working on a solution.
Here is a current forum of a “world wide” affected google maps issue.
Thanks for the reply. I’m not sure if it was merged as it was listed under posts rejected and it doesn’t seem to have appeared anywhere one would expect. I was, ironically, attempting to start a post about one of the current issues as previous threads had become confused and were out of date.
The other problem is that the thread titles are not precise enough – hence the fact your link is to one concerning number of views not being updated, which isn’t exactly the same as them being reset completely!!
I understand your concern and I am also faced with the same issues, as most people are. Google moderators are automatically merging posts regarding that situation IN with the view count issue. I know it does not sound ideal. But they are also not approving new posts in this matter so that is probably why your post was rejected. Moderators have commented that they are aware of the issue. This entire thread will probably end up being moved by a moderator but I just thought I would give you the heads up about what is happening. I know it looks like a mess. But this is the only way to prevent 100+ repetitive posts. A moderator will probably also advise you not to make an additional post on the matter, but to engage in the already mentioned post above. I hope this helps. I can see how it doesn’t help though. But just to help you avoid any frustration trying to create additional posts.
Yes, it certainly is creating more confusion!! Tagging things onto old threads and merging them so that there are a huge number of responses to wade through isn’t exactly what I’d have done.
P. S. Great photo of J-LP – Very engaging, one might say!!
I also made a post today which was completely unrelated to any bug and it was automatically flagged as spam. Super upsetting because I wrote that article and it was very detailed. So I feel your pain.
Also, I rarely use local guides connect. I wish I could delete my old meetups post. So embarrassing.
Oh! And also @EdwinOfNorthumbria check your view count now. Mine has come back!! I assume it will take a few more days before the badges are fixed but at least now we know for sure they are working on it!
I just released your post from spam quarantine. Our filter is working to protect the community and you from unwanted content, but sometimes it can be triggered by something and remove a legitimate post. Sorry about that
Moderators are patrolling the quarantine to release the good post so, if your post has been rejected, don’t post it again. Simply tag a moderator (check here and here).
For more information you can read: Why was my Connect post marked as spam?
Your two post have been merged on the main thread : Known Issue: Photo view count not updating
