Pourquoi depuis quelques mois quasiment tout mes avis sont refusés sans motif clair ? Je donne mon avis sur une consigne bagages " Rien a dire. Parfait" 5 étoiles, pas de photos… refusé ?! Et j’en ai une dizaine comme ça. Je fais appel, c’est republié et cela recommence à l’avis suivant… pénible

Bonjour @ogosset in my opinion, the phrase “Rien a dire. Parfait” is simply too short to be a meaningful review and therefore against the rules. No idea, why it is published after the appeal. Possibly because the AI refused and later on a person approved?

Anyway, recently I saw many comments here on Connect about hidden reviews and/or photos without any obvious reason. Just try to write some more meaningful words and also have a look at the hints and tips @MortenCopenhagen did publish a while ago.

Most of the review we can see are totaly wordless…and accepted. I suspect I’m rejected because they take my review as promotional one. I rarely post “one star”, because I’m benevolent and dont want to harm someone business I visit only once. My first rejected review was a (very) lengthy one about an historical monument that was use for sheer political propaganda. I was very factual ( so lengthy ), I edit my review after the rebuff and was banned again. Since then I guess the algorythm gave me a bad tag and the trouble begin.

Excuse my broken english …i’m french

@ogosset no problem, I can read and speak a little bit of French, but when it comes to more complicated topics, I prefer to write in English. Otherwise, the translation function offered here, can be very helpful. But your “broken English” was good enough

Again my opinion:

Too few words (as well as too many words) I consider worse than a rating without any words. But again have a look what Morten wrote, maybe you find some hints. One thing I learned here recently: Nobody of Google will tell you what exactly caused you reviews to be refused. After spending some time to work on my refused reviews, I was able to clean all. First by removing all attached photos (either a photo and/or some text can cause a review to be hidden!) and when the text-only review was refused, I deleted on sentence after the other until it was accepted. Then adding the last removed sentence word by word, I finally discovered a single character made the difference. It is time consuming, but so far the only method, I found :disappointed_relieved:

P.S. When responding to the comment of a user here on Connect, it is better to mention the name preceded by the @ sign. That way the user receives notification about the comment.

@WilfriedB Impressive. You are a true believer ! Wil read Morten ( look fun enought…) but I’ll probably give up le Local Guide thing.

My ego will survive :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for your hints

@ogosset reg. " I’ll probably give up le Local Guide thing": I did the opposite  . After receiving the first mails stating some of my reviews were hidden, I spent time to understand more about it and post my photos and comments in a more controlled way, by following the most recent posts under “My Contributions” (not sure, how this appears in the French user interface)
