বাংলাদেশের রাজধানী ঢাকার খিলগাঁও এ পোস্ট বক্স অবস্থিত। খিলগাঁও পোস্ট অফিসের সামনে দেখা যায়। এই ডিজিটাল যুগে খুব কম মানুষ প্রয়োজন না পড়লে হয়তো এখন আর এটা সেভাবে ব্যবহার হয় না। এখন থেকে ২৫ বছর আগেও এটার ব্যবহার অনেক ছিলো।

শুক্রবার ও শনিবার সাপ্তাহিক বন্ধ থাকে বাকি পাঁচ দিন খোলা থাকে সকাল ৯ টা থেকে বিকাল ৪ টা পর্যন্ত।

ঢাকা কলেজিয়েট স্কুলে পড়তাম তো সদরঘাট পোস্ট অফিস ছিল একসময় ঢাকার সদর পোস্ট।
স্কুল ছুটির সময় দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতাম কখন একটা লোক পোস্ট বক্স খুলে সেটা দেখার জন্য কারণ প্রতিদিন দেখতে পারতাম না শুধুমাত্র বৃহস্পতিবার দিন হয়তো দেখতাম ১১:৩০ টার দিকে খুলতো।
যদিও সাড়ে ১১ টায় খোলার নিয়ম থাকলেও এরা প্রতিদিন ১১ঃ৩০ টায় খুলতো না আগে পরে আসলে কি কি বের করে দেখার জন্য।
সেটা আরেক অনুভূতি এখন চিন্তা করলে হাসি পায় যারে ভাই এখানে তো শুধু চিঠি পোস্ট করে অন্য কিছু তো না
মানুষ আর লিখতে পারে না, তাই এর ব্যবহার শেষ হতে যাচ্ছে, ধন্যবাদ @sumanbd ভাই সুন্দর একটি অতীতের কথা স্মরণ করানো জন্য
এই পোস্ট বক্স বা পোস্ট অফিস নিয়ে আসলে আমার অনেক নিজের অনেক স্মৃতি আছে। ছোটবেলায় আমি ডাক টিকিট সংগ্রহ করতাম, সেই সময় আসলে আমি পোস্ট অফিসের বা বক্সের আশপাশ অনেক ঘুরাঘুরি করতাম যে কোথায় কখন একটা ডাক টিকিট পড়ে থাকে বা খাম পড়ে আছে কিনা যদি এরকম কিছু পাইতাম তুলে নিতাম। ধন্যবাদ @MahabubMunna ভাই যে আপনি আপনার একটা পোস্ট অফিস নিয়ে স্মৃতিচারণ করলেন।

If not, did you try adding the post box to Google Maps?
It would be useful for people.

We also had multi-colored post boxes in Aurangabad where I was born and lived.
The red one was for outside city parcels.
The green was within city posts.
Not sure what the yellow one is for…

@TusharSuradkar Currently, there is not much use for it, but it is kept here only as a part of culture and some government offices still have this post box. Here, the red box is for sending letters to any place except the capital Dhaka city, the yellow post box is for sending letters only to Dhaka city and those with post box numbers, and the blue post box is for sending letters abroad.

আহা! আগের সেই সুন্দর দিনগুলো। মোবাইল ও ইমেল এর মাধ্যমে জীবন অনেক গতি পেলেও আমাদের মত ইমোশন আর নেই। @sumanbd আর পোস্ট দেখে আগের দিনে ফিরে গেলাম মনে হলো। ধন্যবাদ ছবিটি শেয়ার করার জন্য।
