Hi @diegorojas0510 ,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! : ]

Just to be sure, would the described situation happen during the process of posting on Connect?

If convenient, would you mind sharing a screenshot when it may occur?

Also, for convenience of investigating, the current conversation would be added to a separate post with How-tos as category (I have also added a title for the post, do feel free to check if it needed to be changed further)

Hi @diegorojas0510

Every time this happens to me (and it happens often) I just hit Submit again. This has never caused me any problems. I think it is an unwarranted warning.

Cheers

Hi @diegorojas0510

The “invalid HTML” code message (with the red banner on the top of the post) usually appear when you write your post with another editor, and paste the content in Connect, or when you paste content from a website. Normally is caused by the fact that the formatting in the Connect editor do not accept all the text formatting available. The formatting information are part of the HTML code, and if different from what acceptable by Connect editor, are removed. For this reason the message tell you to check the changes before posting. The same can happen if you have a translator active on your browser

Another possibility, but I don’t think it is your case, is the insertion of HTML code not accepted by the filter, that prevent the insertion of fraudulent code.

My tip is, when you paste the text, to use the “paste as a plain text” command. In this way the text will be formatted according to the Connect editor, using the default font, size, color, of Connect

Hi @diegorojas0510

Please try the following:

  • Set the language of your profile as the same that you are using for writing the post
  • Disable the translator in Google Chrome or in the browser you are using for writing the post. A wrong interpretation of the language can cause the issue

Please give us a feedback
