I visited Portland, Oregon in November of 2018. Here are few pictures I captured during that trip. Also some fun fascinating facts about Oregon State.
Below are few shots of downtown Portland. I rented a electric scooter to take a tour of downtown area.
Portland is famous for Food Cart Pods. You can find several such pods in the downtown area. You have wide variety of choices of food available in these Food Cart Pods. Since I visited during the weekend, some of the stalls were closed. Unlike mobile food trucks, these trucks food carts stay put in pods.
âWith hundreds of tiny kitchens throughout the city, Portlandâs food-cart scene is legendary. The flavorful proliferation has drawn raves from Bon AppĂ©tit magazine and CNN (which declared Portland home to the worldâs best street food).â
Another famous place in downtown is Voodoo doughnuts. There are four different locations of Voodoo doughnuts in Oregon and two of them are in Portland. Also they have nine locations in five states.
Voodoo customers and enthusiasts credit the company for creating innovative, unique doughnut flavors and products. As you see in the picture below, there is always a line to enter the store.
