Porticciolo di Nervi and the Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi.

Visited Genova in January this year after two weeks in Nice. Stayed in an Airbnb apartment in Chiavari (about an hour by train from Genova Centrale or Genova Brignole). Read about Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi walk and decided to explore. Genova Nervi (very old Roman name) is about 10 minutes by train from Chiavari.

This is a spectacular walk of picturesque Promenade from Porticciolo Nervi (a stunning marina area where I took these photos) and ends in the ancient port of Capolungo (a beautiful village with a small beach).

This is the kind of walk one can’t hurry or you miss the stupendous experience of the Atlantic Ocean like a giant turquoise canvas that caresses this coastline. Of interests is the Passeggiata Principessa di Piemonte (Promenade Princess), Torre Gropallo Tower and Parchi di Nervi.

If you’re lucky enough to go there before sunset, this is a spectacularly amazing experience. This is the unforgettable Promenade of Nervi. Absolutely love it!

Buongiorno @Giuseppe75

Mille Grazie! Really appreciate your very generous comments and it encourages me to share my experiences more because of community members like you!

I find that it was perfect in January as it was still Winter and the Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi wasn’t crowded. I absolutely adore the Italian Riviera! I might start an Italian Theme on places I’ve visited so far, Haha.

Buona giornata :grinning:

@SirB

I agree that if you walk in that kind of place, you can’t be in a hurry. Normally I take time to enjoy the scenery and also enjoy myself.

Again, nice photos. And again, I like the blue blue sky.

Thank you for sharing this post with us.

Somehow I find the European sky much bluer than here in Australia! Even with just a slight adjustment of the photos, the blueness of the sky popped out!

Thanks again for your generous comments!
