Parotta / Barotta is a layered flatbread made from maida. It is a famous bread enjoyed in Kerala, the south most part of India.
Maida flour is mixed with beated egg, oil and salt to form a smooth ball and allowed to rest for couple of hours. Then again small round pieces is made out from the large pack and is flattened, twisted again and again flattened to form a flat bread. The piece is put in the pan and heated to form the final Parotta. It is served hot for best taste and goes best with beef roast, chicken roast, mutton roast or even egg roast. But it should be noted that it goes well with almost anything or even some sugar or even raw. This is a soooo delecious food item that you cannot stay away from its influence for long after having it for once. Its a small and brief PAROTTA story. More to follow in detail soon.
