Oh no.They also come here.It is very serious issue.As Google maps profile is not a searchable,the is not much danger now.But they would simply follow others and make their expansion.I think we need to urge Google maps technical team to block such accounts at beginning itself.

To @EyalD and @HASHIM_AK A lot of us get them as well. First thing I do, is click on their Google Name and 3 dots will appear in upper right hand corner, click on “report” It gives you a few choices to report what they are doing wrong. Next under my followers, click on their name and block them from following you. I have reported so many. If enough of us do this they will be removed.

Reporting is a good defence but it is not a effective way.They also in other platforms and there is also reporting,if reporting is very effective then they would not survive there.
By the rules and guidelines of Google maps,The reporting is not that much effective as they didn’t post anything against the guidelines.And there is loopholes in there also.

Hola @TerryPG hago, desde el primer día que empezaron a aparecer, como tú dices, primero denunció y después bloqueo.
También instó a Google revisar y tomar medidas sobre este tema.

It’s unfortunate that we have to see these profiles like Local Guide.
I have been bombarded with these types of profiles asking to follow me on my account.
I consider that it is a very serious mistake and that Google Maps must take very drastic measures.
There is room for these people, but not here.

@Patttyco The ‘Drastic Measures,’ unfortunately, seems to be the removal of Lists altogether. I only have one published list, but I do enjoy using them for more curated ideas. It’s disappointing that we’re losing them, and I surely hope that this spam issue was not one of the causes.

Con lo de “Medidas drásticas” me refiero a que debería existir mas control por parte de Google a la hora de abrir nuevas cuentas y sobre todo, cuando pongan estados tal como “My sexy photos”
A ver, como es posible que esa cuenta a la que me refiero, sea nivel 2 de Local Guide con solo 2 contribuciones, eso si, 9619 seguidores.
¿Qué le importa mas a Google Maps? ¿Contribuciones o seguidores?
Da mucho que pensar.

Hi @Patttyco the individual you mentioned can easy become a local guide by merely answering questions.
2nd point She does not have 9600 + followers…. she is following 9600 + guides.
Again report and block , if we do it enough, Google will listen.

Hola @TerryPG estoy de acuerdo contigo que estos SUPUESTOS Guías Locales, por lo menos así se nos muestra en el perfil, sino que, están siguiendo a VERDADEROS Guias Locales. También estoy totalmente de acuerdo con @Patttyco en cuánto a las medidas más drásticas que se deben tomar por Google. Agrego a @EyalD , @GasparKaren y a @JustJake para poder obtener la opinión de ¿Por qué somos tan pocos los que estamos denunciando este hecho, cuando estos SUPUESTOS Guías Locales siguen a “miles” de VERDADEROS Guías Locales?

Hello @CAAG1959 I have an idea that most of these guides may be excited to see someone following them and that’s it. They don’t check the content of their followers.
Where maybe you and I and others want to see who is following them, and we check.
I have removed and blocked quite a few who post nothing, many others that I am guessing are bots and of course this type of follower.

Hola @TerryPG no sé si el traductor jugó una mala pasada, reviso todos y cada uno de los perfiles de los que se dicen “seguirme”.
Denunció y bloqueo cada vez que me surge la incertidumbre de su intención y también lo hago inmediatamente a quien aparece sin publicaciones, miles de seguidores y además muestran un link o dirección de sexo explícito o de cualquier índole inmoral. Y creo que todos deberíamos hacer constantemente esto hasta poder terminar con esto.

It seems to me that one of the functions of being a guide is to share and have like-minded contacts to follow and have them follow you, I don’t think it’s just for the “excitement of someone following them”
I check my followers to see if they give me anything and unfortunately there are many people who are here to post bad comments and they disappear.
It bothers me enormously that they use this medium for these accounts and every time (which is starting to be very frequent) I find more, of course I block them, delete them and report them, hoping that Google will do something really drastic.

Yes @CAAG1959 continue to block and report, Google is going thru a lot lately with all the fake reviews and Guides selling their reviews. Keep reporting and blocking , I have confidence it will work.
