Coffee mugs
Tea packs
Manga
Any others…?
Prohibited souvenirs:
Shuriken - ninja throwing stars, and all weaponry artifacts. ( The late Steve Jobs tried to bring back some shuriken many years ago and they were confiscated).
No medications with non-approved substances by the FDA.
Rare souvenirs:
Japanese patrol cars because I love the Japanese police;).
Thank you this colorful post, full of details and recommendations.
I’ve never been to Japan, but it’s a destination on my to-do list since I was a child. Growing up with the manga culture, I was more than fascinated with this country, it’s culture, traditions and diversity.
I guess, if one day I go to the country of the rising sun, on my way back, the luggage will be full of goodies and mangas related stuff. Especially old once, from the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s.
@BorrisS Thank you so much for your comments. You’ll also by surprised at all the manga cafes in places like Akihabara. Can you read Japanese characters? You can also consult the expertise of @YasumiKikuchi on manga and maybe even @HiroyukiTakisawa
This is an interesting term. Please note that it may be considered inappropriate so I would like to remind you of our 5 core values of Connect. Thank you.
