In old times of Hong Kong, there were today side food stores licensed by Government. As the city grows fast, these licenses are no longer issued so there are only a few these food stores left behind.
Ping Kee Tea House whose Pork Chop Noodle and Milk Tea has attracted long line of customers everyday. Make sure you come before 3pm otherwise you would miss the delicious food.
I’m in love with these small local places. When I’m travelling, I always try to find these kind of food trucks or restaurants, because they have the best food. Could you please tell how we can get there? Also you can share something about the dishes, even upload some photos.
Hello @Petra_M , yes usually the best food is where the locals eat. I have put the address in the post so you can just follow Google Map to the store. Anyway it is near MTR Tin Hau Station, walk 5 minutes. They have lovely food and as requested, I add some pictures here.
Wow thanks for sharing @KennyWong !!! Every time I return to HK for family, I always try to find spots like this to eat at as I know there are not many of these shops left in HK. Where exactly is it in HK?? I want to add to my list!
edit: ooooh wait I see the address! Must try on my next visit, hopefully later this year!~
@Shirley At Tai Hang. The best way is you get off at Tin Hau Station, cross the road and walk along Tung Lo Wan Road for 5 minutes. Here there are lot of small food stores.
Besides, other than Connect, we always welcome new Local Guides joining our Telegram group (https://t.me/hklocalguides) , we HKLGs will organize meet-up monthly, and including food events too!
