Popular Lunch at Konigs-Krone in Kobe, Japan

Konigs-Krone is one of the popular sweets shops in Kobe and the lunch is also popular and famous, so this time I tried the lunch.

The interior decorations are cute for Christmas and they have plenty of tables with comfy chairs and sofas.

When you get here, what you need to do first is to keep your seat with a card, then no one will take your seat. For lunch, you can make a reservation only for tables, but not for lunch, so you need to make a line to order your lunch.

I arrived here around 11:30. BUT!! There was a long line already and before 12 pm, the lunch sets were sold out. So, you should get here as early as possible. I think many people were already here around 11 AM because if you are one of 50 customers from the beginning, you can get Krone which is one of sweets from this cafe for free.

This is a bread section where you can take fresh and tasty bread as much as you want. Bread is all-you-can-eat, so you can choose some later after finishing the first round. Kobe is famous for the tasty bread, so you should try :slightly_smiling_face:

The lunch set includes a salad, so you need to take one. After this section, you need to pay for your lunch. I ordered a beef stew lunch set (2145 yen) that comes with salad, bread, small sweet and soft-serve ice cream!

Here’s a dressing section where you can choose for your salad. I heard that grated carrot dressing on the left is popular :slightly_smiling_face:

I was too full after lunch but it was very satisfying. When you visit here, you have to make your stomach empty  and enjoy lunch!

@Annachan16 The food looks so delicious. I love it that there’s a large Christmas tree fit for the season as part of the decorations. Do many restaurants do this?

@Annachan16 Christmas is such a lovely festive season to participate in even when one isn’t religious. There’s something so positive, and beautiful about it isn’t it? Its so bright and so full of life and just so joyous. It gives one a chance to enter in the yearly fun pretty decorations. May people who aren’t religious in Australia also celebrate it.

The foods look wonderful and the restaurant looks fancy too. I bet the food tastes great as well or else there wouldn’t be such huge demand for it. I can’t imagine their lunch was over by 12. So after that what do you get? You can’t order for lunch if you are not one of the first 50 guests? The soup and the salad and the breads look delicious. You didn’t share the photo of your beef stew. How was it? Thank you for sharing the restaurant and it’s delicacies here @Annachan16 . If I go to Kobe I know where I should go for an early lunch.
