Points

Hello,

I’ve added multiple playgounds in the past week that where not yet marked on the map. They are approved, visible on the map and more than 24h have past, but i don’t have any points awarded so far.

Is that because others need to approve on my submissions?

Hi @MrHeineken88

Points need at least 24 hours for being added in the profile.

However I see that your count for added places is zero.

Can you please share a screenshot of the email you received by Google where you were informed that the edits are approved?

Here is a screenshot of the bottom part from the email of a playground that’s approved and on the map. But i have done more. The point from questions for example are already added.

Yer, @MrHeineken88 , points for photos, reviews and answers are updated immediately, points for edits needs ate least 24 hours, if not more, due to the synchronization of different databases.

Please be patient, I am sure you will receive your points

I thought it was faster and because some are around 48 or more hours past approval something was up and that i missed something.

Thanks for the answers.

Hi.

I just wanted to let you know, my point took about 5 days or more to arrive. But they are all there as far as i can see.

Thanks for the feedback, @MrHeineken88 .

I am noticing some delay too, between the email and the additions of the points on the profile. Good to know that everything is fine now.

In the future please use @ and fill the pop-up with the username of the person you are responding to.

It may seems irrelevant, but the moderators are involved in several conversations, so to knows that we are mentioned will help us to come in the post.

Hello @ErmesT

I am realising a delay in the photos appearing on the profile as well as the points these days.

For instance a photo of a burger I added last Sunday has just shown on my profile and it reads last 2 days ???

Cheers

I cannot confirm the issue about photos @SholaIB .

As far as I know this happens only for photos added in a place added by us on the same day. In this case the photos will appear in the business listings with a delay of 3 to 5 days. But in your profile normally the photos (I’ve made several tests) appear immediately.

The photos I added in maps a couple of days ago appeared immediately.

We have some delay reported only when the settings is for uploading “with Wi-fi only”, because the uploaded will remain in standby till the WiFi network is available, and if you have several photos in your stack, this may take time.

Hi @MrHeineken88 ,

Welcome to Connect.

Thank you for reaching out. I moved your post to How-tos, since it is not related to the board you published it. Here, you can swap advice with other Local Guides and share how to create helpful contributions on Google Maps and Connect. When you have a question, you can start a new post or search if there is something similar to what you are asking already on Connect.

To make the most of your experience on Connect, you can take a look at this Your guide to Connect topic. Also, I recommend you read How to choose a topic for your Connect post before your next post. If you want to be featured in the Introduce Yourself series, don’t forget to share yours here by answering the prompts.

Hi @InaS ,

I posted it there because I didn’t wrote a tutorial/how-to but had a question related to points.

Although I can read and understand English on a educated level, I’m not a native English speaker. So the therm didn’t sound appropriate to ask my question there.

I also didn’t see something like general questions or helpdesk as an option so i choose what I thought was closest to the subject of my question. because.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

So i just read Your-guide-to-Connect/ & How-to-choose-a-topic-for-your-Connect-post/.

I hadn’t seen it before and found it helpful because of the topic descriptions.

“Achievements”, clear as daylight.

But i found the descriptions of “How-tos” & “Help Desk” somewhat confusing and had the idea that their use was the other way around.

I do have an idea on how to improve and probably will post that later in “Idea Exchange”.
