POints went down?

I waited a day or two after visiting restaurants to post the reviews. I took care to add photoes/videos and details in my review.
Even the restaurant acknowledge my review.
Suddenly I lost points! ? Why? What can be done?

It is extremely demotivating to continue to contribute when google’s algorithms behave this way and there is no support or review.
I just went on a trip, I wanted to write really good reviews, covering the restaurants and resorts. Sadly, all those reviews did not count for points. Why even give points??

As far as I can see all your 15 reviews are visible, so why are you attributing the loss of points to your reviews?

Actually there are two reported issues in Google Maps. One is related to the views of the photos, and the team is working on it, and the second is related to a loss of points related to Answers. But some users are reporting that this issue seems to be already fixed, and the points are back.

Can you kindly check and specify which issue you are experiencing?

Let me add that according to your contributions tab you should have 414 points, and this is exactly what I find calculating the points (long reviews x 5) + (short reviews x 11) + (ratings x 12) + (photos x 5) + (videos x 7) + (answers x 1) =

(4×21)+(11×11)+12(5×5)+7+165=414

Thanks for taking time to look into this.
But as soon as I posted my last review (CALA scottsdale) I had 492 points. It clearly said post one more review to get to level 5.

I don’t keep track of calculations so I don’t know what got removed/cancelled etc.
Next morning, I was checking out our resort and answered some google questions regarding the airport. Then I noticed that my points went down to 414 again.

In addition, the help section says I am supposed to get 10points for photo caption, I captioned all my photos, but no points for this.

I just noticed that my facts checked score went down to 0. But I checked lot of facts before. I restarted this again added more fact checks (11 more)

Your SCALA review is indeed public, but you posted it only 9 hours ago. The point total is updated only once or twice a week, so patience is likely to solve this issue.

You don’t take note of your contributions, and this is perfectly fine, but on the same time you are accusing Maps for not attributing your points for the reviews. That is not true. Most probably your loss of points is in answers, and several reported a recent drop of points on that. Also, due to a glitch, your fact checking points are attributed to Answers too.

As many people is reporting that the points are coming back, please check on a few hours of yours are back too
