I’ve seen so many other posts and really there’s no resolution on how our points can be updated. Yes it takes a long time but surely not 2 months? What am I missing here?
Also what does the score on the left mean and the scores on the right mean?

Points are updating day by day, @SusanSignorile , and this happens to you too, as you can see from the screenshot here below, so probably we just need to understand the meaning of the numbers
You are a level 6, so your point are between 1500 (the number on the left) and 5000 (the number on the right).
You actually have 3105 points. You had 2982 points when you wrote the post.
The points were updated as you added 2 reviews (88 Vs 86), 1 photo (126 Vs 125).
So, as you can see, the points are changed.
Do you have any old screenshot were we can see that the points were the same two months ago?
