Hi- After deleting the google map history on my mobile I hove lost 10K points from my account. Is there any way to get those points back. @ErmesT can you help me with this issue. Thanks.
I am sorry, @MukulR , but there is no way to recover that points as, for definition, if you delete your history Google cannot keep a copy of that data, as this would be a violation of the principle of protecting your privacy.

Hi @MukulR ,
Thanks for reaching out!
Thank you @ErmesT for providing the answer. As it is complete, I will mark that as a solution. To learn more, please see, How do I mark comments as solutions.
Hello @ErmesT thanks for your reply. And I am very much upset to hear that I will never get back my 10K points. You know how hard it is to earn points in google map. Though it is so hard to believe this, but this is the fact. Anyway, I have seen that my numbers of uploaded photos and views are not affected by my deleting of map history. So where the points were deducted from? I am a little confused about it. Though I cannot remember about reviews, but it seems unchanged to me. Can you please advise. Thanks
OHHHHhhh
Mukul. Why did You do this? Have you deleted photos and reviews? Clearing the history should have removed your reviews, your answers to questions, your photos and videos.
Sorry for reaching you so late, as I missed your tag yesterday.
Clearing “your activity” you remove only your answers. Please read: Answer questions
The answer are removed, according to the setting that you can define, as you can see from the screenshot here below.
This is going to affect your answers only.
If you want to delete photos and reviews, you have to do it manually from “your contributions” in Google Maps
@user_not_found , Very recent I bought a new mobile( Samsung A50S) to take a better photo. But after buying it I found a sever issue of this phone with google maps. When someone asks a question, I get the notification. But when I tap the notification, it does not open or expands. So I cannot answer that question. Most of the notifications do not open or expand to show. It just keeps loading. I talked to the customer care of Samsung. As per my claim, they scrutinized the phone but did not find any problem with the device. They told the problem is with the google map. I gave a post in this forum about this problem but did not get any solution. Recently question-answer option and check-in option of google maps are not working. I re-installed the google maps, even though it was not working. So I cleared the history as a test and lot 10000 valuable points. I hope you understood.
@ErmesT Thanks once again for your clarification. I do not want to delete anything anymore.
ohhhhhh ((((
I have not seen your question. I would immediately tell you that this will not help. Notifications do not depend on your feedback and points in Google maps. You can remove the application and clear the cache on the phone. Clear the application on the phone, namely the application cache, the history of Google maps. It was not necessary to log into the account and delete the history there. Just uninstall and install the application. Sometimes there are crashes. I turned off all notifications in google maps. They annoyed and distracted me. I understood you. Unfortunately, you can’t restore the data that you deleted in your Google account.
You can read my first post here @user_not_found Actually, I became very disappointed with my new phone for this. I tried to uninstall the google maps to re-install. But I did not find that option on my phone. It was just showing a Disable option. See the photo below.
Mukul. You know that we communicate in Google photos. Paul claimed that he once accidentally deleted 30,000 points.
Yes, I know about the accident of Paul @user_not_found I really feel pity for him. His loss is much higher than me. I think google should have a backup or restore system. Earning points is not so easy like losing points. Google should understand this.
Moderators blocked it. Now he can’t write on this forum. His loss is even greater than you can imagine. In General, Paul is being treated unfairly.
