Points are not Updating

Although I have been writing reviews and posting photos, but my points and badges are not being updated.

I have added more 200 character reviews. I have added more photos (as can be seen in my profile). I have edited more places which have been published (as seen in my email). But the points and badges remain the same.

It has been more than 5 months since I have been facing this problem.
Please look into this and solve it soon.

You currently have 6236 points. If you look at your contributions overview are the numbers of edits, photos, reviews, etc. also not updated, or is it only your points total you think is wrong.

I can see that you are not suspended. Since you have made your profile private it is difficult to spot what the problem could be. Maybe you could make your contributions visible while we check out the problem?

It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.

You did not answer my questions in my first reply. Please do.

According to your public profile, you added photos in February 2021. So you can currently make contributions.

You have added 183 photos/videos of which 170 are public. So photos are probably not an issue. I would suggest though that you stop posting near-duplicates.

You have added 152 reviews of which 142 are public. So reviews are also not a big concern.

Please visit this link and make sure that you have selected “Keeping activity until you delete it manually”. This could explain why you don’t see your points raising.

If this does not explain the problem, please share a screenshot from a monthly statement or an older screenshot of your contribution stats (if you have it) proving that your points were higher/don’t get counted if possible.

It could also be a problem with delay in tallying the points. But this never is an issue for more than 1 month or so in the past.

PS: It could also be that some of your photos and reviews are rejected and not even showing up in your contribution lists. Could that explain what you are seeing? Very blurry photos can get rejected in this manner.

I keep my activities unless deleted manually. I have written 5 or more reviews of more than 200 characters as you can see in my profile, but the badge shows only 3. I have recieved more than 60 emails of “your edits have been successfully published” but the badge shows less published edits.

I can count 66 APPROVED edits in my Notifications and in my email.

This something even I am experiencing currently. All the recent numbers to not add to the previous points. A simple way to analyse is the photos which have been submitted recently over last two weeks. The photos number however has only moved by few increments of around 5-10. Just hoping this is temporary and submissions would be accounted for in days to come if not weeks.

On your review badge you are missing 2 200 word reviews. The ones missing could be among the 10 hidden reviews.

It is always a good idea to go over all your reviews to make sure they all adhere to the guidelines, including:
Prohibited and Restricted Content
Format Specific Criteria (See under Text Reviews and Captions)
If you need to identify which of your reviews are hidden please see this useful tip.

Try finding and fixing the 10 hidden reviews and you might get your review badge. The useful tips in the link above will help you. But it can be time-consuming.

You are credited for 54 Edits. If a shop is removed from Google Maps you can also lose points even though it is not directly your fault.

I don’t see any huge issues, so maybe you could try again to make a series of different edits and keep track of your statistics and points total to possibly pinpoint where the problem lies. But remember there is a delay in getting points credited and badge updates so you need quite a bit of patience. Try documenting issues with screenshots.
