Points are missing and local guide connect app on playstore

I want to know as of me starting on to the level 7, points are not added and it’s missing also. Please help me on this, as we want to continue with enthusiasm and get ahead. We just want cooperation from the concerned. One more thing is the app. The local guide connect app is not available on the Google store. Please help, as my sons also review places on want to know what’s happening on local guides connect.

Hello @SavithaVenkatraman can you give a bit more details about what the problem is, as that is not really clear to me from your post? Here’s already feedback on some of the topics you mentioned:

  • In general, if you make contributions on Maps, it can take a few days before the points are actually added.
  • There is no app for Local Guides Connect, you always need to visit the website in a browser
  • About your sons: would you mind telling their age? I’m not sure if you are aware, but their is a minimum age for being a local guide: 18 years

I wish to add further to the clarifications provided by @JanVanHaver

  1. The updating of points for various activities differs based on the nature of the action.
    The credits for reviews or photo uploads are virtually instantaneous.
    However, the points for various edits take time. That may need 24-48 hours after the edit is approved.
  2. Though there is no app, you can create a shortcut on the home screen after a first launch in a browser.
    It acts as a bookmark & loads the site quickly.
    Also, the appearance without an address bar improves screen usage.

Hi @SavithaVenkatraman there is no App for Local Guides except of course Google Maps itself.

As @C_T and @JanVanHaver have mentioned to you the https://localguidesconnect.com/ can be saved as a local icon on your phone or tablet which will then run full screen as a progressive web application which will behave just like a locally installed app.
