I have plenty of issues with local guide that need to be resolved…

My local guide badge is not visible in public…

More than half of my reviews are not visible to public (I have checked all the spelling and Ive made sure characters were not included, except for fullstop and comma)

Out of my 16 reviews, only 5 reviews have views and only those r showing as total views, not sure what happened to my other reviews… Most importantly the reviews that don’t have any views are the places most people search for so this is affecting my activities as a guide…

My points are 354 in google maps and 312 in local guides… And my total reviews are 16 in Google maps and only 11 in local guide in browser… How…??? I’ve attached the pictures for this at the top…

Also I copy pasted one of my reviews from another account to that same business and that review is visible, but the same review I posted thru this account is not visible…
I’ve attached the pictures pertaining to the 4th point alone… Pls resolve all these issues… I’ve read and followed all rules and regulations of Google reviews…

Let me try to help:
- I can confirm that your Local Guide Badge is publicly visible. Please follow this link using an incognito window that you’ll be able to see a local guide badge on your profile photo;
- Thirteen of your 16 reviews are public. If some of your contributions, for any reason, do not adhere to the maps user contributed content policy, they are marked as private, and it’ll also reflect on your points. To have three reviews marked as private is not a big deal, and it can happen to everyone. Please take the time to review the Google Maps user policy.
- It can take time for the servers to sync the views, so don’t worry;
- It can take time for it to being sync on the Local Guides page. Do not worry as well;
- Be aware that we are not allowed to have more than one Local Guide Account. It is against Local Guides rules.

You have uploaded 16 reviews and 13 of these are public.
Except for one review all were posted within the last week. It takes up to a week before the numbers are updated. Just be patient.
Small differences in points is to be expected. Again please allow some days for sync and update.
The most experienced Local Guides are hardly able to follow all the rules all the time. So most likely your reviews were made private because you are not following all the rules. Sorry.

Thank u for ur answer @AlexandreCampbell … One doubt tho… If there r indeed 13 reviews in view of public then how come the number of views is still low… Even the least visited places have over 100 views of my review, but my review of most popular places hasn’t been viewed by any… Why is that…??? Coz still only 5 places that I reviewed have any views whatsoever and those alone rake nearly 870 views… Let’s say my 13 reviews r public, then the remaining 8 reviews have only 40 views in total and those r the most popular places so it’s not possible to get so less views…
I have attached some pictures of this… If u see, my review of top mobile stores of my city don’t have any views, and even my reviews on hotels, electronic stores and the top cineplex of my city don’t have any views… Even if 3 reviews r private then the others have to have plenty of views for just one review but they don’t… Can u pls explain… Thank u…

Views on hidden reviews can be explained by views from before your reviews were made private.
Also, reviews on places with many reviews are likely to get only a few views because there are many great reviews. When visiting a place you see your reviews at the top - others don’t.

Am really sorry @MortenCopenhagen but am still confused… I made 16 reviews in total out of which 13 are on public view which u confirmed… Let’s say only 13 are made visible to public for viewing… Out of the 13, 5 reviews alone have crossed 928 views out of the 938 total view count in my profile as it shows… So I technically got only 10 views from my 8 reviews that has been made viewable to the public… Half of those 8 am sure are regular famous places that ppl often visit and I get that some ppl will just view the top reviews and be done with it… But wat is the explanation for having 8 of my reviews garnering only 10 views after more than 2 days…??? Also they can’t be hidden reviews as u said hidden reviews are only 3 out of the 16 and 13 reviews have in fact made public… So there’s s no way u can see I have 13 reviews and they’re all hidden for some reason… Also ppl who reviewed after me have more views for those places than my reviews which I posted earlier than them… Thas my confusion… Hope u understand from this point of view… This will be my last question regarding my issue… Thank u so much for clearing my doubts…

I’m always happy to try to help you.
Since it takes up to a week (approximately) for the counts to get synchronized between servers and tallied I would not be very concerned about this. Also, I don’t know if views of hidden reviews are counted. But I guess they must be included in the total. What constitutes a view of a review is also worth considering. It is probably counted each time the text is downloaded and I certainly only read a fraction of the reviews downloaded to my phone. I don’t even scroll down to see them all.
Instead of focussing so much on the review counts, you could try getting your hidden reviews to go public again.
It is always a good idea to go over all your reviews to make sure they all adhere to the guidelines, including:
Prohibited and Restricted Content
Format Specific Criteria (See under Text Reviews and Captions)

Thank u @MortenCopenhagen for ur help… But how to get my hidden reviews to go public… I’ve read and followed most parts of the rules… There r no offensive words, I’ve also deleted all symbols used only comma and fullstops… Am not sure wat more to do to make em go public or I don even know which are hidden coz as u said from my mobile all reviews will be visible to me right… Finding them out won’t be problem I could always borrow a family members phone and check it out but I’ve really made sure the comment was non offensive and followed rules and still it’s hidden so yeah I don know y it’s being kept private… Is there a letter count that u cannot exceed for reviews…???

You removed one review, so your total is now 15 reviews. And 13 are public. Have you identified the two hidden reviews? If not please do so by comparing your list of reviews in a logged-in window/tab with the same in an incognito window/tab.
Reword anything slightly questionable in them. Each time you save/resubmit the review, the AI will check it. You then have to check if it appears in the incognito tab/window. It will show immediately if approved. Do a reload though.
If this does not solve your problem, you need to copy all the review text to a text editor for backup. And start deleting 50% or so of the text to see/zoom in on what is causing the AI to hide your review. After finding out try rewording and paste back in the rest of your review text from the editor. And recheck if it stays public.
Feel free to share what triggered the AI for others to learn from.

I certainly agree that the number of views takes time to update. When I mentioned instantly I was only referring to the AI evaluating review texts after a resubmit when reviews are hidden.

I went to incognito mode and I saw in one of my reviews and it showed 13 reviews… So 2 reviews were not public… So in incognito mode I went into my profile to view the missing reviews, but wen I opened my profile page it showed 15 reviews… It was incognito that earlier showed 13 reviews only but going inside my profile it started showing 15 reviews… May be it takes time to update…!!!

It sounds like you mixed up the two views logged-in and incognito.
The two missing reviews are only visible for you in the logged in window. For each of the 15 reviews check if you see it in the incognito window also. Two will be missing in the incognito window. Those two are the hidden ones.
I have 500+ reviews so checking only 15 reviews manually is relatively piece of cake.

Sorry to keep bothering u with this issue again and again… So I finally found out the 2 missing reviews… But in incognito mode when I was checking it showed only 8 reviews next to my name opposed to the 13 reviews on normal window mode (can’t take the screenshot because it was incognito mode), may be it has something to do with syncing issues… But manually wen I searched for each reviews I did find out 13 reviews present on incognito mode which means they’re open to public… So now coming back to the 2 missing reviews… Both of those are reviews for dog training centres who promised me training and failed to do so… Both r 1 star critical review for their poor quality of service… But here’s the catch… Both of those missing reviews actually have views on them… One has 3 views and other has 4 views but both r not visible from incognito… So wat could be the problem…??? Should I send u a copy of the review so u can verify yourself…??? Thanks for all the help that ur doing…
