The deer and turkeys are so hungry here in South Paris that they are hitting up the bird feeders. Some of our neighbors here on Paris Hill Road put out deer feeding blocks and even the turkeys are indulging, who are also very hungry. The deer are so hungry this year that they ate the lower four feet of foliage off our hemlock tree, something they have never done before.
