Hello everyone,
The Bells are ringing again, TRAC event. TRAC wants you !!! I believe by now locals guides are quite familiar with us (TRAC team ) . Otherwise I could quickly define or introduce us as necessary and needful.
- TRAC as an acronym stands for Thousand roads added campaign. We are a group of local guides that have taken special interest in adding of roads on Google maps. Mind you we also carry out other local guides activities as well. If you have followed our activities last season,we started with three thousand approved roads and ended up with about 70,000 approved roads on Google maps so far as a team. We have our main and very important season from March-Sepember. As a result of reaching our target we took a break !!! Mind you we have stayed together as a team and we work together unofficially in the background.
Now what then? We realise that to stay together as team we do need an objective and a target. Something to bring us together,keep us together always and keep us busy. As a result we have organised this brief event Stay on TRAC !!!
Guidelines for the brief event
- This event will run for 2 full weeks starting on the 13th Nov through to 27th Nov 2023
- We have started registration of all participants and interactions on our chat group.
- All participants are expected to fill a form for participation joining the group chat is optional.
- We plan to have zero tolerance for idle and non-active members. All hands on deck please.
- All members must have at least 5 roads to be eligible to be published on the road count list as a member of TRAC.
- We plan to publish the road counts few days after the end of the campaign. Just to allow for proper synchronisation of data on the profiles.
- Members are free to opt out if not active or decides to be inactive. (Although we don’t like to see that).
- We possibly we would rhen get back to our hibernation mode(Working in the background) till further notice.
- Please kindly note that,On monday 13th Nov we will start our campaign with the ONLY persons who are duly registered on our TRAC team. We want to encourage as many as can join to join TRAC. Nevertheless,if someone reach us as the campaign is started we can “welcome” him/her but his figures will not be displaied in the final results. This is for data and record purposes. Thanks for your unlocked and loyal participations.

Please Note: This is not a competition it’s a simple campaign. It is aimed at creating awareness on drawing roads. It’s also aimed at improving the maps worldwide. There are no gifts or medals or badges at the end of the campaign.it’s a voluntary activity like all local guides activities.
