Hi

Please give me a solution for my mistake

Iam the guy who drawn and added the name of this road but when I added that road I mistakenly added the road name as ‘svargagramam nagar road’

but I now realise that the exact name was ‘Firdous Nagar road’ . I edited many times as Firdaus Nagar road but the Google maps didn’t published my edit . Iam now very sad that I done this mistake.i wanted to get correct my mistake

Please give me a solution for get published by Google maps

Your efforts and honesty are appreciated.

May I suggest you take this issue up in the Maps support forum.

Hit the Community tap at the top and make a post. You need to attach or link to official documentation supporting the change you are proposing.

May I suggest that you add the link to the road / road sections in question?

Maybe you can edit the text to make it a lot more clear what chance is needed. You shared too much text.

Try something like:

This road (link) is now named “wrong name”. Instead, it should be named “correct name”. I tried several times to no avail. Your help would be highly appreciated.

Better now.

But please improve the title. Route is related to navigation. It is a road, not a route you need help renaming.

Also please find an official/authoritative map supporting the name you are suggesting. You could also add a photo showing the roadsign.

And as mentioned before you should add a link to the road so it is easier to help you.

Finally please check if the road is split into sections. If so make sure to explain if it is all the sections or only some of them that are named incorrectly.

I think it might not be possible to edit the heading. Sorry. Maybe you should make another post.

Google can not rename streets just because you say so. Therefore you need to submit proof that your suggestion is correct. Look at the local authorities’ website. The municipality might have an official map where the street names are mentioned.

It looks like you are in India, so maybe my friend @TusharSuradkar can explain where/how to the official maps of India.

I would invite @NareshDarji who is an expert in these matters to help you out further.

Do you have any proof in the form of a photo that the road is not SwargRamana but is officially called the Firdous road?

Or is this just your wish?

You are aware, the Survey of India (SOI) is the repository of Map related data.

Further, based on that data, NIC & ISRO have published some maps.

I am sending the links to you through private messaging as providing external links is not welcome here.

Nevertheless, what Nihal3 is trying to correct, there is no authentic reference for the road name. There is no standard street sign. Further, the road is not even paved.

You must have noted how the street name signs are in a standard format in the US.

Here, every local authority uses its version, thus lacking consistency.

That makes it extremely difficult to correct such errors.
