Places to visit when in Neemuch Madhya Pradesh`

Hello Guys,

So I am Akshay Ojha from the Neemuch/Nimach district of Madhya Pradesh state in India.
Just want to let you know about this undiscovered city till Date. I will explain in detail each location and their ways to travel, activities and Facts. “Nimach” is an abbreviation of “North India Mounted Artillery and Cavalry Headquarters”.
Neemuch was also the station for a lot of Indian Army Regiments.
Originally a part of the territory of Udaipur princely state, it was given to the Scindias in 1768 to pay off debts incurred by the Rana (king) of Mewar. After that, it became a British cantonment (military camp) of the Gwalior princely state.Neemuch district is part of the Ujjain Division. It borders Rajasthan to the west It was split from Mandsaur District on 30 June 1998.

Shri Kileshwar Mahadev Temple[In city]
The temple of Lord shiva with highest footfall in district, located in a wide area where CRPF personals has their home to stay with family and near to it has their training campus. Best time to visit is on Maha Shivratri in the month of march when approximately 50,000 visitors offers pooja to their idol God. A mela/celebration takes place during this time.

Balaji Dham and Dadi ka Dham[In City]
These are the main spiritual attractions for locals specially every Tuesday and saturday a lot of visitors can be seen to take the blessings of Lord Balaji(very old temple now redesigned in modern way). You can see the Divya jyot uninterrupted burning lamp since 1948.

Dadi ka dham is newly inaugurated temple of the Rani Dadi Sati(Sati mata of many castes), this place also have idols of Khatu shyam ji, Ram ji pariwar, Krishna ji and almost all the idols of Hindu Gods.

Bhadwa Mata Temple[19kms]
The Bhadwamata Temple is situated 19 km from Neemuch town in Bhadva village. It is believed that who so ever takes bath in the Baori situated in the temple premises get cured of paralysis and Polio . During Nav Ratri a 9 day long festival takes place in this temple where about two lac devotes from all over the country visit this temple. Apart from that temple, there is one more temple in the near vicinity of Neemuch town namely Bhanwarmata (25 km).

Aantri Mata Temple[54kms]
Aantri Mata temple is situated at antri village at the distance of 54 km from Neemuch.The temple is famous for boon of Mata Aantri devi. Thousands of pilgrims visits here in Navratri and Diwali.

Harkiyakhal Dam Neemuch[20kms]
It takes about 25-30 minutes reaching the destination. Each minute will worth it, it is more than a water reservoir. Calm place, wind blows to your face, location is beautiful with lush greenery all around.

Sukhanandji Dham[20kms]
The initial place to visit in town is Sukhanand temple of Lord Shiva.It does not have any transport facility hence personal transportation is must.Place is far from village and has a beautiful seasonal high waterfall.

It turns to be a picnic spot for families and friends in rainy season.

Sanwaliya Seth Temple[62kms]
This temple is must visit for all the Lord krishna Lovers. It is located one and half hours distance from city. Mainly famous as the partner in illegal and legal both businesses. Here this temple is famous as the partners to all the afeem mafiyas and the mandi businessmans. Every businessman sets his sharing of profit with Sanwaliya seth ji and on getting his share of profit they share their share with Lord krishna. In the form of Afeem, Gold, Silver, Car, Flats and foreign currencies.

It has covered a vast area for his followers as it was most required due to increasing footfall here.

CHITTORGARH (60 km)
Chittorgarh Fort has had a tumultuous past. This bastion of the Rajputs has faced violent attacks thrice in its entire history. The first was in 1303 when the Sultan of Delhi, Ala-ud-din Khilji, who was enamoured by Queen Padmini, launched an attack to abduct her. More than two centuries later, in 1533, it was Bahadur Shah, the Sultan of Gujarat, who caused immense destruction. Four decades later, in 1568, Mughal Emperor Akbar attacked and seized the fort. It was finally in 1616, under the rule of Mughal Emperor Jahangir that the fort was returned to the Rajputs.

Gandhisagar Dam[100kms]
You can enjoy the dam, you can swim in some areas and you can also take pleasure of green scenery surrounding. Covered a very vast area one can enjoy the beautiful scenic beauty of this place. Good for photography.

This is an impressive list of places to visit in a relatively unknown place like Neemuch.

Interesting to know that it originally belonged to the Udaipur state.

It would be greatly helpful if you could also add some photos of each place with additional information like how to reach, where to stay, places to eat, etc. for the benefit of local guides who can plan to visit there.

Thanks for your acknowledgement and interest shown in the updated content.

Yeah, this place is my hometown and I find it to be amazing sometimes myself.

Amazed by the beautiful places around me. It acts as the M.P. and Rajasthan state Border.
