Rokokallio is located in Vihtijärvi (Vihti), southern Finland. It takes about 45 - 60 minutes from Helsinki to Rokokallio by car. Unfortunately, there is no public transportation but you can easily rent a car and visit Rokokallio.
The place has formed during the ice age and made it special with different kind of rocks and small caves. It has been said that Rokokallio is the best cave destination in southern Finland.
The local Vihtijärvi people have built a nice attraction to Rokokallio: Laplander’s hut with an indoor and outdoor fireplace. This is open for all the people to visit. You just need to bring your own wood to start a fire.
Some people stay overnight in the hut and the fireplace keeps you quite warm, just bring a good sleeping bag with you if you stay overnight.
The caves and the rocks are located about 50 meters from the hut. You just need to go a steep descent to get there. Gloves are quite handing when getting down as you need to crawl on all fours in some parts.
After that, you’ll get to see all the caves and paths between small and big rocks.
Along with the caves & rocks, there are also a couple of wonderful marked routes you can take and enjoy the beautiful Finnish nature.
