Last year, we visited Kochi and every article on the internet talked about the Fort Kochi, the beach and the churches. But I think the place that I liked the best was a quite lake near a waterfall.
You would be wondering why is it called waterfall when it’s a lake. The thing is we didn’t know that the waterfall exist just a few minute hike from the lake. This area is what you would call an offbeat place. The lake is located just on the side of the river. There is no entry gate, no parking lot, no shops , no people. No commercialisation at all. We parked our scooty and sat there for about an hour. There was a man fishing crabs in the check dam. We saw the crabs and talked to his kids. We didn’t realise that there was a waterfall as well.
But now you know. If you just want to sit and enjoy the beauty, you are most welcome and if you want to enjoy in the waterfall, all you got to do is walk through the natural trail and reach the waterfall. The google location is absolutely correct. The area doesn’t have an internet reception. So I would suggest you to download the map offline. Hope this was helpful!
