Place that can't update its information

Hi,

There is this mosque https://goo.gl/maps/51mM9KLiEswyNPNr9 that I can’t add picture, update its name, add phone number or any other information.

Can anybody explain to me why such things exist in google maps? and how can we fix it?

The place seems to be a wrong creation, @Port , and despite the category of “Mosque” the place appear like an “Address”.

We local Guides cannot fix this kind of issue, so I suggest you to escalate it to the Google Maps Help Community .

You can also report the place with your App, using the following procedure: Steps to send us feedback

You have answered my question with your post. Thank you very much. The simple replay to my question is that the mosque is an area not a place.

I do remember that I draw it when I was google mapper with google mapper application.

Just a curiosity: but at the time of Google Map Maker you had entered the mosque as an area and not as a building? Why this choice?

Hi,

It was something new “areas and buildings” I was as I remember testing and confused.

There was two types (areas with names and areas without names).

I have put my father house and I do remember when I put its heights!

its without name as its private but for mosque it has name.

I think Google should solve such things by converting areas that are places to places.

Unfortunately this is one of the bad effect of a great program like it was Map maker. The regional leaders shouldn’t have approved your edits, but unfortunately they did it.

This is the reason why I suggested you to write to the Google Maps Help Community , explaining your mistakes.

There is no way, with billions of listing and locations in Google Maps, for Google to “converting areas that are places to places” if not reported.

Please write in there and explain clearly the issue, and the mistake.
