Private residential buildings are not suppposed to be on Maps except as an address. Recidential buildings with a staffed office tending to the public and not just the recidents can be on Google Maps as a business according to my understanding of the guidelines.
Also, you can add your home and work as explained here.
I trying many times but you cannot add my Residence home
