Place creation not working - Canada

Hi all,

With everything back to normal in the Maps app, I still can’t do place creation. The button sticks, and if I go to edits, it is written, not approved.

They are valid entries, with photos and sometimes 2 or 3 more details such as website.

Am I the only one?

You are informing two distinct problems.

The button sticks while place creation. I guess you are attempting that on the phone & even after filling up all the fields, the submit arrow doesn’t become active.

An immediate suggestion would be to clear the app cache & storage data & then try once again.
If that doesn’t work, you may have to reinstall the Maps app.

Edits are not approved.

Thanks for the reply CT,

Unfortunately, I’ve tried all of the above to fix the stickyness but can’t find a work around yet.

As for the other issue, the places are rejected as soon as they are submitted. Their algorithm is not the same as before covid. Which means, edits won’t be coming from me even though they are easily verifiable by an algorithm.
